Don't let rainy days get you down. We've got lots of things to do if it rains during your visit to Montville.

In Montville, you'll find Montville Art Gallery and the Main Street Gallery under Poets Café.

Natures Image is a photographic gallery and in the same building as Australis Antiques; two browsing opportunities under one roof.

Take a drive out to Maleny to visit Art on Cairncross which has three restaurants (The Terrace, Muang Thai and The Key) in the same complex and the excellent Reserve Restaurant across the road. There’s also an antique store on the opposite corner.

Maleny Arts Retreat is on the Maleny-Stanley River Road; a gallery with several artists in residence.

Back in Montville, the Mayfield Centre shops at the top of Montville’s main street are well set up for wet weather with verandahs all round and excellent shops including Illume Creations, a well-stocked menswear store and the Montville Candle Shoppe, plus The Edge Café where you can watch the weather brewing.

Cafes with something extra include Elements at Montville on Kondalilla Falls Road.The food is fantastic and you'll lose yourself as you browse around their beautiful homewares and jewellery. 

Explore the antiques and collectables at Flaxton Barn after sampling their famous scones and delicious cakes and pies.
 
While away a few hours with wine tasting and lunch at Flame Hill vineyard on Western Avenue, Montville.

At the Great Read secondhand bookstore in Montville, you can enjoy a coffee or tea and browse the shelves to find a good book.

Secrets on the Lake is just down the hill from Montville Grove, at the bottom of Narrows Road. They have an outdoor (but fully covered) café on a deck in the treetops and a gallery.

After all that cake, you'll need a walk when the clouds lift and the best place for walking after showers is Mary Cairncross Park. And if you're peckish after that walk, they have a cafe looking out over the Glasshouse Mountains.

Where is Montville Grove?

From Brisbane, head north along the Bruce Highway and exit onto Steve Irwin Way/Glasshouse Mountains Scenic Route. Follow the Landsborough and Maleny signs.  Just before Maleny, you'll see a sign to Montville (Range Road). Follow this until you reach Western Avenue just as you come to the bottom of Montville's Main Street.

Montville Grove is 3.5 km along Western Avenue, on the corner of Western Avenue and Narrows Road.

Coming from the North, turn off Bruce Highway at the Nambour exit and follow the signs to Mapleton. The road winds through Nambour and up the hills. When you reach Mapleton, turn left and follow the road to Montville. Turn right at Western Avenue.
